  1. STS57KIT is the Press Kit for the Space Shuttle Mission STS-57 (dated
  2. June 1993).  Endeavor and her six-person crew will run experiments
  3. designed by students, operate a payload which may improve crystal growth
  4. techniques and demonstrate possible on-orbit refueling techniques.  It
  5. will also rendezvous with and retrieve the European Space Agency's
  6. European Carrier (EURECA) satellite is scheduled to take place on the
  7. fourth day of the mission.  NASA is also leasing space to a
  8. privately-developed mid-deck augmentation module known as SPACEHAB. The
  9. primary objective is to support the agency's commercial development of
  10. space program by providing additional access to crew-tended, mid-deck
  11. locker or experiment rack space.  This access is necessary to test,
  12. demonstrate or evaluate techniques or processes in microgravity.  Lots
  13. of other interesting material as well.
